Leiba L. dreamt of starting her own blog chronicling her journey as a forties mum and asked us to help her create it. As part of the process, she explained that her hope is for the blog to grow into a community and brand, so she wanted to design a logo. The name of the blog and brand would be MummyPause: a safe space for Caribbean women and mothers transitioning into menopause.
Using Leiba’s ideas and playing on the words 'mummy' and 'pause', we created a logo that illustrates her experience as a forties mum: a bit “topsy‑turvy” at times, but filled with stories that are open, honest and down to earth, with a touch of Caribbean humour.
